Oh McTealc! What would you NOT see!
Welcome to Lincolnshire in the East of England!
Come let me take you by the hand and we'll walk by the sea where King Johns ship sank with his treasure - still lying out there somewhere. We will watch as the sun goes down and the geese fly in from the Fens - wild, watery places where no man who is not born here would be without friends - where the curlew calls and tells you it is time to be home by the fireside. We will walk the long lanes where the harvest has left the fields looking ragged and worn - ready for the rest that the winter and his frosts will bring. We shall see over the wolds - the rolling country hills where the old woods cover the ground giving shelter to the young pheasants until August of next year when the shots overhead will fill them with an age old unknown dread. The beech trees and oaks that lay down their carpets of red and gold and brown - the last colours of the dying year. We will check all our fences and make sure fox hunts elsewhere - our beasts are our family and our stewardship of them repaid when they don't run in fear at your arrival amongst them. And them when all is safe at home and the fires are damped down - come and I shall show you Lincoln cathedral lit up at night - where pilgrims and sinners have travelled for hundreds of years to ask for forgiveness or ffavours or from fear. Then we shall stand on the rock where your ancestors stood when they left these hard shores for - they knew not what. But the left all they knew and forsaking it all - set off for a place and a time that could only be better and safer and kinder. Then we shall travel and we will see where - before time was invented - men made their mark with rocks to huge to bear - but they dragged them and they lifted them and made huge circles to worship the God of their times - perhaps the same one that looks down on us now - who knows? And thats where I live - but not where I am from - I came from a place you know well!
My mother and grand mother and hers before that came from a place of such beauty and mystery that it beats in our hearts not matter how far we roam.
So to end the tour - we shall drink a hot toddy beside the peat fire in the house my grandfather build on the croft by the bay - and we shall hear the seals sing and the whales out to sea - and the moor mist and the lamplight will make it all like a dream! But Stornoway, Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland is no dream - just an ambition!
Will you join me Brave McTealc - will ye come awa wi me?

I live 10 min's from the Johnson Space Center (Tx), I'm 10 min's from the Gulf where I love to go watch the ships as they come in, the beaches, sailing, swimming , fishing, etc., I can be at any number of beaches within 30 min's in any direction except north which would takes you to Houston in 20 min's. There are so many interesting sites...museums, the Theater district,etc.. also the Texas Medical Center, the largest medical center in the world. Lots of seafood and any kind of cuisine your heart ( and stomach) desires. How about a big Texas steak? I don't know if you like flowers etc or not but in this area flowers are blomming and beautiful 12 mo's a yr so it almost always looks like summer here. We have two gardening seasons. It gets really hot in the summer but a person can enjoy the out of doors all year except for maybe a mo or so. Most all pools are in use 9 mo's a yr. You can never get bored here. Come on let's go pick up some chicken parts for bait, get the nets and go crabbing down by Galveston.

Well First, After all those lovely descriptions I want to come and see the whole of the USA. When I see it on the movies, I see what a beautiful country it is.
If you fly over my way you can go to Surfers Paradise, hire a house boat and cruise round, visit the late Steve Irwing's Park, the staff carry on doing what he taught them.
You can see the Dolphins do their amazing public show. You can go Marlin fishing on the Pacific Ocean, or any kind of fishing. You can take a boat down the Brisbane river.
You can go and see the Sydney harbour. Just a flight away. NOW that is beautiful.
Actually, come to think of it. You can do all those things in the US.
I think if you are coming anywhere down this end, the most beautiful place of all, is New Zealand. It is spectacular! Aussie, for me anyway, does not give you anything, you can't do or see in other places.

Budapest is frequently defined as the "Little Paris of Middle Europe" and if you wish to see this town you need to have a look with hotelbye . Budapest is popular not only for the monuments reflecting its 1,000-year-old lifestyle, but in addition for the relics of other individuals who settled here. Stays from both Roman occupation and much later ruled by the Turks may however be seen in the city. Budapest has two factors, Buda and Pest, stretching across the banks of the Danube, and they are addressing two different characters of the city. Suburban Buda and its old fort area provide medieval roads and properties, museums, caves and Roman ruins. The dynamic Pest area provides the biggest parliament creating in Europe, riverside promenades, flea areas, bookstores, vintage stores and café houses.

Once you get outside the city (all cities are the same aren't they?), you'll find rolling countryside with dairy farms, horse farms, chicken and turkey farms, a couple of llama farms, gentle mountains (they roll, they're not peak-y), burbling rivers and brooks, and old barns listing to one side.
If you want to see agriculture, we have cotton, tobacco, soybeans and corn.
If you want to be amused, there's King's Dominion or Busch Gardens. If you enjoy a good belly laugh, the District of Columbia is a little over 100 miles away.
One of the East Coast's largest naval facilities is about 75 miles to the southeast.
Due east is the Chesapeake Bay, where the water laps softly and the seafood is divine.

Here in Budapest, Hungary, there are some wonderful sights: Budapest has a wonderful castle district that's been settled since Roman times. It has many different thermal spa baths in many styles for relaxation and spa treatments, and a wonderful thriving music and arts scene. The Opera house is world class and the architecture of the city is illuminated by the ribbon of the Danube river which flows between Buda and Pest.

I live in central Indiana. Home of the Circus City because the circuses used to have their winter quarters here. We have a circus museum and have a circus festival for a week in July with performances under an air conditioned big top. Plus, there is plenty of water around...two reservoir, and a river. Alot of Indian heritage here also. They run a bingo parlor. Come visit!

I live near Philadelphia, PA.
Have a cheesesteak, see some historic stuff, run up the Rocky steps, visit the Art Museum, lots of fun restaurants and pubs and clubs. Not far from Atlantic City, NJ and beaches. Not far from Poconos if you like winter sports. A short train ride to NYC and Baltimore as well. I really like my locale.

I'm in Utah. There is so much to do and see here! Beautiful mountains, great skiing, the Great Salt Lake .... so salty you can float! In downtown Salt Lake City you can visit Temple Square. At Christmas time the lights there are stunning! In southern Utah there is a small town called Moab that is famous for it's natural sandstone arches (Delicate Arch is featured on our license plates) and beautiful sandstone canyons.
