Cows. In the first grade we went to a dairy where I fell in love with the smell of cows. I still love the smell of cows. They also remind me of my high school friend who went waterskiing with us. We were in the back of the car "mooing" at all the cows along the country roads. We laughed so hard that to this day we have a secret word that always makes us laugh... moo!

Bread pudding. My mother used to make it back when we lived on a small farm where I never fell in love with the smell of cows. In fact, when they are being milked, especially a lot of cows, the odor can be overwhelming.

The smell where hens are laying has a similar overwhelming and IMO unpleasant odor.

This is going to sound weird, but when I was about 15 I got a job with the city street department, they didn't call it work experience back then and I have forgotten what they did call it, but I was working with the crew that tore up streets and repaved them and the smell that always reminds me of my best memories is the smell of fresh asphalt. Had a lot of good memories associated with that job and the guys I worked with, especially after work.

Anything that is related to Christmas.
That includes smells like Pine and Gingerbread to Caroling and Christmas Trees.
My mother is a big Xmas fanatic, and when ever I see or smell things related to the season I remember all the fun times me and my mom had and still have decorating and singing.

And some others reminded me I love the smell after a spring rain and the smell of fresh-mowed grass.

The smell of home made bread baking. I can remember being in grandma's house where she would not only mix the bread dough from scratch but bake it as well. I make it my self, like she did from scratch and bake it. So when I am baking it, the smell that comes from it reminds me of being in her house again. She passed away Dec. 8, 2004.

Believe it or not, the smell of a freshly waxed floor and tangerines. My mom would always wax the floors before Christmas and she always had a fruit bowl. The mingling of those two scents reminds me of home, where I always felt loved and secured.
