OK - let's see

Area of a triangle is 1/2 bh

so 96.075 cm^2 = 1/2 (10.5cm)(h)

multiply each side by 2 and you have 192.15cm^2 = 10.5cm h

now divide each side by 10.5cm and you get

192.15cm^2/10.5cm = h

18.3 cm = h

Check:

96.075 cm^2 = 1/2 (10.5cm)(18.3cm) ?
96.075 cm^2 = 1/2 (192.15cm^2)
96.075 cm^2 = 96.075 cm^2 YES!!

OK - hope this helps.

The base of a triangle is 4 cm greater than the height: base = 4 + height the area is 16 cm squared: 0.5 x base x height = 16 FIND THE HEIGHT AND THE LENGTH OF THE BASE: 0.5 x ( 4 + height ) x height = 16 0.5xh^2 + 2h -16 = 0 h^2 +4h -32 = 0 (h -4)(h+8)=0 height has to be positive so height =4cm and base = 4 + height = 8cm

Area =1/2 base* height
96.075=0.5*10.5 h
h=96.075/(0.5*10.5)
=18.300cm

A= bh/2 --> h = 2A/b = 2*96.075/10.5 == 18.3cm

A = (1/2)bh

Multiply both sides by 2:
2A = bh

Divide both sides by b:

2A / b = h
or
h = 2A / b.
This is the formula for the height.

h = 2(96.075) / 10.5
h = 18.3

The height is 18.3 cm.
