Broken timing belt.

Maybe your timing belt has broken if the engine now cranks faster than normal. Did you change the timing belt at 105,000 miles per the manufacturer's maintenance schedule? You have an "interference" type engine which means it suffers major valve damage if the timing belt breaks. Hopefully it didn't.

it could have broken a timing belt ,or some other belt on it,you,ll have to check it out ,or have someone check it to see if there's any damage done to it,just going by what you said about it,it sounds like it did break a timing belt,good luck with it.
