The first sign of a pregnancy within the uterus is the visualization of the gestational sac. The earliest this is seen is 4 weeks. At about 6 weeks, we can usually see a fetal pole. It may be that you are just to early along in the pregnancy to see anything yet.
"The gestational sac is the earliest sonographic finding in pregnancy.....The gestational sac first appears at about 4 weeks gestational age, and grows at a rate of about 1 mm a day through the 9th week of pregnancy.....While a gestational sac is sometimes seen as early as during the 4th week of gestation, it may not be seen until the end of the 5th week..."
AND:
"A mass of fetal cells, separate from the yolk sac, first becomes apparent on transvaginal ultrasound just after the 6th week of gestation.....The fetal pole grows at a rate of about 1 mm a day, starting at the 6th week of gestational age."

Since the gestational sac and the fetal pole grows about 1 mm per day, things are growing quickly. You should be able to see evidence of a pregnancy soon...... Best wishes!

Did you % a quad demonstrate blood try? it could have been comprehensive at approximately 18 weeks. this would help clue the medical doctors in on markers for issues collectively with Downs, Trisonomy 18, spina biffida, etc.. additionally, some medical doctors carry out a NT test (Nucheal something) approximately 11 weeks. They degree something interior the toddler's neck. a undeniable thickness can sign Down's. in the experience that your time-honored practitioner hasn't suggested something to then you i would not concern too plenty. A transvaginal ultrasound would only show a sac at 4 weeks, no baby til 5-6 weeks. Did they see a sac or anything at all? If they saw nothing, it doesn't sound hopeful.
P.S. They can see a baby at 6 weeks via TVU - I know because I saw mine, and the heartbeat at 6w3d :)
I hope you get good news.

I'm surprised that they did one on you that early...Even at 6 weeks all you see is a yolk sac.
