It's crossed my mind a lot over the last 7 years. There would probably be no state who had constitutionalized marital discrimination. The law of the land would put an end to discrimination against anyone in the LGBT community. We would have more out celebrities. Youths coming of age now would probably not even be able to understand what the problems we faced were.

I can't think of any way that it would be any different. Obviously, the Lawrence v. Texas decision by the U.S. Sup. Ct. would still have happened anyway, regardless of who was in the White House. And the Massachusetts decision by that state's highest court would also have not been any different.

You did not ask, of course, about whether or not there would have been Democrat majorities in either or both chambers of Congress to go along with Democrats in the White House. Things MIGHT have been better -- MIGHT -- for the LGBT community if Democrats had all 3 of the elected federal offices -- Presidency, the House and the Senate -- insofar as that Congress MIGHT have repealed the "don't ask, don't tell" policy and they MIGHT have passed a non-discrimination law. But I can't say for sure that those things would have happened.

Earth to fantasy land! There would be no difference simply because all politicians are the same in office. The is not enough money in it to get them interested in your plight, and it would probably cost in the long run.So nothing would change.

There would be no difference. After all, it was the Democrat Bill Clinton that gave us "don't ask, don't tell". They're all the same.
