Example: Mike Vick, JENA 6, etc. etc.
Isn't it clearly racist to support or condemn someone based on their color?

I know that all black people do not do this, but many of them do...you can attack me if you want. The question is valid, pertinent, and intelligent.
Isn't it racist to support or condemn someone based solely on color?

I never said "all black people," and I am not generalizing. I am pointing out a fact.
Generally, black people think about and focus on race more than anyone else.
How about thinking of yourself as human instead of black or white?

I have found that blacks are very concerned about there race all the time .they think whites think about them which isn't true.they feel like they need to be on the defensive they have a tribal attitude .those people who attacked that guy need to go to jail.i was attacked when i was young at a football game by a group of blacks and they hit me many times for me wearing a Confederate flag on my coat

ignorant people do
sometimes our people (particularly those of them who have seen oppression) just want to feel buoyed by others
and of course, there are people who think that if someone is black then he must have been wronged in some way
NOW
having said that
i want to tell you a bit about those cases and how black skin plays a part in that
Nobody dislikes Michael Vick and O J Simpson more than me...they both are just god-awful people
but knowing the mentality of police in and around Atlanta as I do and knowing law enforcement a bit, i can tell you that
there would never has been as much investigation into the property owned by Mr. Vick, had it been owned by a white person
once they caught the drug dealer in question and made sure no drug connection was there, they would have dropped it
but ah! Mr. Vick is black and an athlete so it went on
if Mr. Simpson had not been accused (and he probably did it) of murdering his white wife and had not been black
that trial would have been as under the radar of the media as the Robert Blake trial
and I hate school fighting and how it gets so many black kids into trouble
but I understand the sentiment
the kids hung nooses around a REAL HANGING TREE (where people had been killed in the past)
something they fail to mention in most of the press
and I have been to Jena and it is a very racist place
these tensions have been brewing for years
the superintendent should not have changed the students' punishments
and the parents should have been raising as much hell about that as they are about what is going on now
and then the kids would not have been so emotional and had that terrible fight
stop discounting the fact that however subtle it might be, people are often overzealous about prosecuting our people in trouble

Nice! My co workers and I had the same discussion today. It started with the Jena 6 and ended with the OJ trial.
The Jena 6 did commit a crime, aggrivated assult. They should be punished accordingly. The events leading up to the incident and the actions by law officials proceeding is the focus and should have been handled differently. The Jena 6 didnt have to happen. I fully support the protesters.
There was a lot of blind support for OJ because of race. The only issue that came up about race was the evidence tampering. That did give juriors "reasonable doubt" and I support their decision. That alone shouldnt have made people's minds up to whether or not he was guilty. The civil suit that followed the trial should have given people enough reason to understand that he was guilty and because of a stupid racist cop OJ got off free.

Another person who likes to stereotype black individuals but don't know the whole story. Did you take a survey of every black person in this country to see who they support, probably not. Not only black people support each other that is found in all races. Secondly, the Jena 6 is a legal issue and cause that needs to be supported because it has something to do with the legal injustice on the court system not race. Grow up and get all the facts before blindly accusing people.

First of all not all black people support the brotha or sista no matter what. However, the media sure makes it sound like they do. Obviously, you did not see the interview with Sir Charles Barkley regarding Vick. You gotta respect Barkley because he calls it like it is.
As far as Jena, what in the h*ll is a high school doing in this day and age by proclaiming a tree on school grounds to be 'whites only.' I mean how dumb is that. I still think the black youths need to be brought to justice and given a sentence that is reasonable and fair. As far as the 'rope incident,' unless there is a law against such action then the black community needs to back off.

I don't agree with you because it took black people nearly 300 years to support each other and stick together. We come from a culture where what is preached is not what is done. You need to go back into history, learn something. Black people have always been unfairly treated by the law that is suppose to allow for equal treatment. White people support their own, take a look at the group supporting George Bush for what he is doing in Afghanistan and Iraq. Invading their sovereign soil is not fighting terrorists, it's becoming terrorists ourselves.
There are a lot of people who understand Michael Vick. He was brought up in a ghetto where a dog is just a dog, like a rat is a rat. They don't necessarily become a part of the family. The Jena 6 have been unfairly treated because they are black. What about the harassment they endured by white school mates because of their color.
I know you want to believe that racism does not exist, probably because you are of mixed race but believe me, when a black man gets in trouble, the "so called" white public will try to "hang him out to dry." If that black man happens to be you, you'll be happy you have the black public protesting to see that you get a fair shake.
Wake up and smell the coffee, young man.

With respect to the Jena Six, I don't think either one of us is in any position to say what we would have done or not done under similar circumstances. So, let's not try to assume these were wild animals.
Michael Vick? I was done with that loser when the story came out a couple years back that he knowingly have some chick herpes and didn't tell her he had it.
Etc. etc. Don't know what this means.
But whites do the same. Imus, Jena Six, Michael Richards, etc. etc.

One. Jena 6 is a legitiment cause for defence.
Two. If your whole race was oppressed for as long as Black people were and are, You too would stick together with your people when backed into a corner.
Three. Vick , O.J. and Kobe were Ignorant cases to support but I cant blame them.

I think they felt that there is a double standard for justice in this world for their race. I think at some point in life everyone feels like that when they make an issue out of their race. Whites, Blacks, etc. regardless of race.

this is so lame - you are now generalizing/stereotyping being racist your self - fuhk michael vick though i work my ass off rescueing pit bulls that are neglected - and jena 6 isnt about the fact they were charged with a crime - its the fact that everyone in the situation should have been charged with a crime - a crime that fits the situation -
