they will do better to just try to keep things the way they are.

currently conservatives control over 90% of talk radio in america - and it's not stricly business.

with programs like stephanie miller and ed schultz proving that they can get ratings and beat con talk in markets where they compete - you begin to understand that this isn't really about business OR ratings.

in boston the progressive talk radio was taken off the air with no prior notification and replaced with a rumba format.

ratings have since dropped by 90% and the web site for rumba has never been completed.

this is clearly just a holding move - not to put content on the radio, but to sort of defensively keep other content off the radio.

why would this happen?

i'm beginning to think that american business would rather not have inspirational, forward thinking deeply pro american leadership.

if we did, it might lead us into a place where profits aren't as good.

so, naturally business becomes pro-conservative and pro repub - knowing that those are elements that can much more easily be controlled.

No fairness doctrine is needed. This tactic is perfectly aimed at exposing candidates on the issue they believe in but don't have the guts to openly declare in public debate. Why should this bother anyone that someone is forced to take a stand and show their true colors.

Congressional voting records help us decide if we should keep our representatives in office or force change with new candidates.

The conservatives aren't the ones who want the Fairness Doctrine I f you did your home work you would know that the Democrats want the Fairness Doctrine to shut up Rush Limbaugh and the other conservative talk show hosts.

Be fair...these republicans are left over from the 'do nothing' 109th congress. They don't know what else to do but obstruct, and debate useless topics (not to mention vote against another bill that bans republicans from doing the very same thing).
