They are playing terrible baseball lately losing to teams that they should be beating. Do you think that the Mets will win the divison and make the post season or will they choke and fail to both win the division and qualify for the post season?

Whatever. How can anybody hate on the Mets?
They're taking it all this year. I'm not even worried. The Phillies will wind up digging their own graves. And its mental malaise the Mets have hit. Once the playoffs begin... They will have it on lock.

If it was any team except the Mets, I'd say not to worry, they're still in first, they'll right the ship, etc etc, yadda yadda yadda.
But I've been a fan too long to not expect the worst. Whenever it seems like good things are about to happen, they prove me wrong. Look at the whole season. They've lost so many games they should have won, they should have clinched weeks ago. They still might pull it out, but I just don't know any more. After all, the Phillies aren't doing their usual collapse, so I just can't figure it out.
Well, at least football season's here. Oh, wait. I'm a Jets fan, too. Sigh...

Every team is going to have thier major choking streak in the season. If youre team doesnt go through it at one point, either youre budget is $500,000,000 or everyone on the team is Alex Rodriguez.

I don't think anyone should jump ship until they fall behind in the standings. Some Phillies fans are talking as if they've clinched the division already. But who's still in first place?

I believe the Mets will turn it around before it is too late. They must get that starting pitching back up to snuff, however or it could be a very short postseason

you re rite they suck now especially the coaching staff last nites loss to florida any decent little league coach could have seen to get sosa out b4 3 runs scored much less putting him in 4 another inning that was pathetic

I think that they will be fine. They are too good a team not to make the playoffs.

Well, I definitely don't think they will choke, it's just that Carlos Delgado had to get hurt at the worst time! If we had Carlos, we'd be dominating! Its so annoying!
