Well I got a connection, so I'll be taking a train to Central Station and pass my time in Amsterdam. I'm planning on taking a one-hour canal tour. Besides walking around, any particular suggestions? Thanks! (Not interested in art museums and had been to Anne Frank before).

If not, you can walk through the red light district and be overwhelmed by the culture shock or go to a coffee bar with a green, yellow, and red sign. Most of those have weed for sale if you're into that.
There are also plenty of good bars if you walk up Damrak (I think that is the street name) from the Central Station to the big plaza in front of the Queen's Palace.

I went to a church right by Central Station called Our Lord in the Attic. It was neat to see how they hid the church! And if youre in A'dam, you might as well visit the Van Gough. Its a must. Make sure and stop by Dam Square!
