I have pen4 2.66ghZ 1 gig of ram 533mhz 300gig of ide hard drive and 128mb video card and 20wide lcd monitor and i have 400watt power supply is that enought watts for my pc

Probably.

It is going to depend on the level of the P4 chip, what else is on the motherboard, the power drain of the hard drive(s) and the optical drive(s) and what graphics chip you have rather than how much memory.

But 400 W should be O.K. unless you have gone for several high power components.

The monitor is irrelevant, it has it's own power supply.

It sounds like it will be enough. When you start having unexplained restarts and shutdowns after you've added hardware, then it would be a good idea to replace your P.S. with a larger rated one.

That all depends on how many drives (hard and optical) you run, the processor, and the video card. Usually those are the things that suck the most wattage out of a system and you need to be concerned about if you start adding or replacing those parts with ones that use more juice or adding more of them, like going from 2 hard drives to 3, or 1 video card to 2.

Yes, that should be enough, so long as you don't over clock.

And btw, your monitor doesn't effect your PC Power Supply.
