I was actually asking about SMP support. How many physical processors can vista support? (Not Cores).
If u take windows 2000 enterprise edition, it supports upto 32 physical processors.

Try this site that list the physical processors supported on each version: (NOTE: jump down to the "Processor and memory support" section to find the info)

The quick answer though is:
Home editions - 1 physical CPU
Business editions - 2 physical CPUs

Right now Vista is capable of running at 2 cores for processing.

the Quad will be updated soon for Vista.

get x64bit and it run even greater with Vista
