80's party?

so im goign to an 80's party and i dont know what to wear! im 14 and i just cant think of anything to wear and i have curly hair but im straighteing it but i need a hiarstyle too cause i dont want to put it in a side ponytail like veryone else! suggestions please!

First of all, leave your hair curly. Back in the 80's, NO ONE had straight hair, and if they did, they got perms so it would be curly! Try parting off a section of your hair all around your face, about an inch or two wide - leave that out, then pull up about 1/3 of your remaining hair into a pony-tail on the crown of your head - put a big, bright scrunchy around it. Then, curl the part you left out around your face into bangs, and wear them either "feathered" back along the sides or leave them in one, big, "tootsie roll" like ringlet on either side of your face.

As for clothes: leggings were big back then, worn with baby doll socks with high heels. You know, the kind of socks that you fold down around your ankle, that have lace around the edge of the cuffs? You could pair those with a denim mini-skirt and a big sweatshirt with the neckline and sleeves cut out of it so it droops off of one shoulder (wear a tank top underneath). Wear big, bright plastic earrings, bangles, and a string of beads (you can find them at dollar stores, second-hand, and consignment shops), and you are all set!!

You should definitely crimp your hair. Using a crimping iron is the easiest way to do it, but you can also try placing tons of small braids in it when its wet and taking them out when its dry. that doesnt work as well, but if you dont want to spend the money on the crimping iron its a good option. You should wear leg warmers, two different dangly earrings, bright lipstick, lots of eye makeup and blush, a shirt that goes off of one shoulder and lots of bangle bracelets

Wear a jeans skirt, slouch socks, bo bo sneakers, a bright color over sized sweatshirt, and tease out your hair BIG (don't straighten it, straight hair wasn't the style of the 80s). You can also wear tacky plastic colorful jewlery.

You could go as a punk....punks were around in the early 80s....google image "punk" and get some ideas. Otherwise, look at early pics of madonna....think short frilly skirts...leggings or fishnet tights...lace in your hair...(a backcombed ponytail) and lots of bright makeup. Ankle boots were the thing.

Were your hair like a Farrah Fosit kind of due were it is really full and high LOTS OF HAIR SPRAY!!! On what to wear just were really bright colors and maybe a tight long sleeve shirt with a different color dress over it!!! HOPE I HELPED!!!

I think you could wear a cute sparkly mini dress and heels. I mean the 80's is all about colour and fun so just have a lotta jammin jewellery and maybe put your hair in pigtails or do a little quiff or bouffant...just enjoy your look!

WOW ! Now I feel old.... I grew up in the 80"s... U could tease your bangs up n make huge "rooster" looking bangs like we usta wear. Wear leggins n mini skirts, lots of plastic bracelets. Have fun !!

You should wear your hair big and curly. Don't straighten it. Try to get some leggings and a big sweater. Get leg warmers or high socks and sneakers. Big colorful jewelry works too! Have fun!

You shouldn't straighten it...You should have HUUUGE volume and tease the front of your hair or your bangs. =) Curls would be really sexy, and also 80's.
