i've tried sending pictures to my email account from numerous cell phones but were unsuccessful. i want to know why???

maybe someone block this feature, or you need a texting/pix plan. If you have prepaid,it's harder to send pix

On any of the phones you have tried was MMS enabled on the SIM card?
This usually has to be done for picture messaging to work.
Would also help to know which mobile phones you are using, some need special settings to email rather then send pics to another mobile.

well one reason might be that you need a plan to send pictures from a phone to email. another reason may be your email is a slow server and cant recieve big files like pictures.
