Love itself is not really blind, but it makes us blind to the flaws (both physical and characterwise) of the one we love.

When we love a person, we don't see him as a diamond in the rough, but a polished one whose sparkle blinds us to the point where we don't see his flaws anymore.

For most it probably is blind, and I believe that is because love along with the need to believe the best in people, well it renders us incapable of seeing the truth of what intentions may be, and peoples faults may be. I think that is what does it.
Also there are those of us who love all of a person which includes the positives and the negatives...that may be part of it too.

We/others see what we want to see, but the reasons when we actually fall in love are those traits others cannot, because they are an internal attraction and pheromones.
Which always makes people say when they see an odd couple together "Love is Blind" because if they could see they would run.
No one really understands what draws us to certain people, different strokes for different folks. The heart leads where our eyes will not.
That's just my opinion

I fully appreciate the meaning of it recently. When you are in love with someone until he or she becomes an addiction to you like drugs, you will succumb to his or her demands slavishly without questioning. Every moment of your time, your mind will be thinking of him or her and there is no way to get him or her off your mind. You will become blind to any senses and only think of his or her love.
This is what love of my current girlfriend has done to me so far:
1. Moving into her home
2. Switching full time to part time work
3. Become a housegirl doing housework for her
4. Wearing a chastity belt, the keys are kept by her
5. Agree to sexual abstinence for a year and maybe longer.
6. Pleasuring her when she wants and no pleasure for me, the belt stays on me all the time.
I am really seriously, madly in love with her. I feel so blissful, cant wait for her to get home from work.

you dont see love, you feel it. love comes from the heart nowhere else.
{{{does a blind man or blind woman get married because they see what they like in their physical? i dont think love is blind. i think it is very much visable! One just doesnt seem to see the love when the one they love doesnt love them back. that is why it hurts. and that is why one may think that love is now truly blind. and then love is shut off causing blackness}}}}.

When someone is blind, the other senses become more important. When you're really in love, the sight of a person is only a small part of what you love.

When you miss them, you miss the sound of her voice, the smell of her sweat, the softness of her cheek under your kiss and that taste...

I guess.

Because only two people totally in love can overlook a 20 year age difference. The rest of the world can't seem to get past it.

Love is blind because
when you first fall in love
with someone
you don't see their faults.
You only see the good in them.

When people are in love they only see what they want to see and believe.

When you can't actually what's in front of you, you then create that image in the mind. And you begin to believe it, because the truth can be painful, if it's bad about someone you love.
It's all denial.
