Who wrote the song Valerie by "The Zutons"?

Can anyone tell me who wrote the song released by "The Zutons" and more recentley by Mark Ronson Feat Amy Winehouse? A lot of people are saying its an older song but i'm sure a member of The Zutons wrote it but i can't find any proof...?

The Monkees had a song called Valerie, but the lyrics are different. Maybe someone was confused about which song you were talking about.

The Zutons and David McCabe are the original writers. In fact, the album Tired Of Hanging Around is all original new material.
