Several hundred dollars was missing from my paycheck. My employer acknowleges that it is missing. I found out that the same thing happened to several other employers. We get paid every two weeks. How long does the employer have to pay us the money?

Ask them for a manual check to be cut for you. If it was short because of something you did (like not turn in a timecard so they know how many hours to pay you for) then you could have to wait until the next pay day. But since it seems to be something that happened during payroll processing to a few of you and the amount is pretty significant, it is not unreasonable to ask them to cut you a manual check for the difference. Just let them know you can't wait 2 more weeks to get the money and ask them politely. They should be willing to help you out.

For sure by the next payday. If you didn't cash your check you might ask if they can void it and reissue for the correct amount.
If you already cashed it or it was direct deposit it is too late so if they can't fix it on the next check they would need to do a separate check run maybe manually computing the taxes if the gross was wrong.
They could offer cash advances from petty cash to be deducted from the next check to those living paycheck to paycheck.

Your employer has to pay you any shortages in full in the very next payroll check payday.

they may be having cash flow problems - could be a bad sign if it's happened to more than one employee - I'd start looking for another job just in case your company is going down the drain

it will be in your next paycheck, (or it should be), since you
get paid every two weeks.
