Hillary has voted against a senate measure condemning a MoveOn.org ad that refers to Gen. Patreus as Gen. Betray Us. Later in the news article, (link posted below,) She is quoted:

In an interview with The Associated Press Tuesday, Clinton declined to address the ad, saying instead: "I have been an admirer of General Petraeus for a number of years. I have said that on numerous occasions. I reiterated it, and I think my words speak for themselves."

So how it is not a flip-flop for her to have voted against defending the man against MoveOn.org's smear campaign?

The old freedom of speech spin is going to raise it's ugly head again. It's a flip-flop, it's a political spin to appease the right that she "admirers" the General, but doesn't "disapprove" of an ad made to discredit him. Doesn't wash with me.

Freedom of speech is the right to say what you want. I also have freedom of speech to condemn what you say. 78 Senators condemned moveon, Hillary Clinton did not for fear that she would lose their support. Nough Said.

Moveon.org gives out millions of dollars. They are bigger than the NRA. The people who voted no or did not vote have either taken money from them in the past or want their money for the upcoming presidential election. It is not so much that they support the add, but they cannot be seen to put down a special interest group that they want money from.

It is all about not offending Moveon.org and getting cut of from a supply of cash.

You just understand that Hillary is like a puppet. She opens her mouth and spews out the words of financial donors. Just as Kerry changed positions more than his underwear Hillary goes from one side of an issue to the other faster than Superman could grab Lois Lane.

She's an absurd %. for the Democrats yet they like her no count what. Makes you contemplate whether the folk who help her have any intense thinking skills in any respect.

It is sort of like being against the war but not being against the troops.

She is not against the General but supports the free speech of moveOn.org.

I am for the message in the Ad because I see the General as a "stooge" for the administration. Bush looked and looked until he found the perfect soldier (see Colin Powell 5 years ago) to hide behind.

The curtain, however, is coming down in Oz!

Definitely a flip-flop - she admires the man but thinks that calling him "General Betray Us" is ok. Typical liberal nonsense talk, I stopped listening to her a long time ago, just let your vote count when election time comes!

All politicians flip flop, depending on the particular audience they are speaking to. There is even documented evedence of Lincoln doing it on slavery during his run for his senate seat. He gave abolishinist speaches in Chicago, where slavery was unpopular, and pro-slavery speaches in southern IL where slavery was popular.

This is why we always get self serving phonies in the Capitol, and the White House.

MoveOn.org expressed opinion.
Are we going to supress opinions on internet?
Hillary just supporting free speech apparently.
The little rule that applies to TV and Radio and Movies also applies to internet.
If it bothers you...
don't go to the site.

Since when is rigidly anal and unmoveable some sort of plus?

These types of political measures are total wastes of time and tax payer money. They should be more worried about passing legislation than "condemning" things. The person that drafted it is an idiot.

Because she believes in freedom of speech.

She never said she agreed with the MESSAGE of moveon.org, but doesn't condemn the right for them to say it.

No flip flop there.
