I am spending two weeks in Europe with family. I can do some laundry, but it's limited.

Bring the same kind of thing you would for a trip like that back home.
I would bring a rainproof/wind proof jacket, a couple of jeans, T-shirts, sweaters, a blouse and skirt for going out, 2 pairs of shoes, and socks and underwear enough for one week. (More if you prefer, they do not take that much space.)
If you bring enough for a week you only need to wash once, if you bring enough for 2 weeks you only need to wash if something happens, might be your best option.

You do not write in which part of Europe, that does make a difference.
In Scandinavia you can already expect winter weather if unlucky, in the south of Spain and Italy it might be warm enough not to wear a coat round Christmas.

And you do also not tell how formal/casual your family is, do they change for dinner, or are they party girls dressing to kill in the disco?
If so, better bring some dresses and all that goes with it.

Enjoy your trip.

Check the weather and pack your clothes accordingly. If you are checking your bags, bring any toiletries that you usually use- and the amounts that you will need for the time you are gone (otherwise, check your airport's website for the liquid regulations for carry-ons). Bring a camera, and if you keep a journal, bring that too!

The very best thing for the plane ride (aside from sleeping pills!) that you can bring is an inflatable neck rest. It is incredibly nerdy, but when you use it, you are saving your neck from aching for the next few days. Plus, since it deflates, it doesn't take up that much room. Pack gum or mouthwash in your carry-on if it's an overnight flight (you will want it in the morning!). Bring a book/magazines & your iPod for all the time you will spend in-transit.

Have a great time!
