Degrees in biology and chemistry open the doors to a huge range of careers in science, engineering, business, and more. Keep your mind open to what excites you most.

I can say honestly that it's a big gamble. But life is a gamble after all and if that's what you've been studying . I'd say go for it pal. Go all the way and make your time and effort mean something. It's up to you, but without scientists the world would be doomed.
You're doing a great thing and yes it is exciting if that's what you really want to do.

If you are interested in knowing the how? and why? things happen, then you are in the right track. Biology and chemistry are the foundations of biochemistry, which helps you understand life itself.
My background is Industrial Chemistry -like chemical engineering - (B.Sc) and from there I had different fields to choose to specialize in: chemistry (pure or any of its branches), petroleum, pharmaceutical, biochemistry, etc. I did my Masters in Food Science because for me it was actual applications into the real world and being able to taste your 'creations'.
As you can see there are many branches that will apply to you as well. Life is challenging and very complex! So if this is something you enjoy then give it all you got.
Wish you luck!
Lou
