This point is moot. Women aren't lesbians because they are feminists and hate men. Lesbian's like gay males were born that way, just like the heterosexuals are.
It's in our biological make-up as to what sex we prefer as we get older. It's not about a bad experience with a man or woman that made them the way they are.
As for being a feminist, that too is in their make-up. They are woman and enjoy the company of another woman. They are therefore more sensitive to the lack of a woman's equality in the work force and in society overall. Therefore some of these strong willed women take their views and work towards equal rights for other women and themselves.
No they do not always look at things in reality. They are reaching for the stars in hopes of getting the same treatment as men. They do overstep themselves when it comes to men things like a mens club or playing in men's sports. They believe it okay to have women only clubs, events and meetings, but it's NOT okay for men to do the same. But there are men who go to the opposite extreme too. It's a magical mix of crap all the way around. As they say in life the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Those that cry the loudest get heard.
It not a defensive mechanism. It's women fighting for what they believe is fair. If roles were reversed men would be the same way.
I am not gay or a lesbian. Well, maybe a lesbian in a man's body. LOL . I am well read and versed in the world we live in. I know a little about a lot of things and a lot about absolutely nothing. But I have been married for 24 years and have 45 years of life experience to base a thought of this magnatude.
Woman who seek men who are, as someone said, more feminine is this. These women are not comfortable with themselves as women or they seek to have a man they can control. A relationship with a man & woman is the masculinity of the male and the feminitiy of the female. Each in touch with each others needs as a male and female. Our needs are different. Or pscyhological make-up is different and extremely hard to play an equal role with one another. It takes a huge amount of understanding, the giving and taking to make a relationship to work.
I can only imagine what lesbians and gays go through. While the psychological thing may be easier work with two of the same species there are other obsticles that heterosexuals cannot speak about.
We all gotta get along.

One problem with that, you say all feminists are lesbians who are unable to attract someone of the opposite sex. I'm a feminist, I'm straight and I'm getting married in less than a month. So I think it's safe to say I disprove your theory entirely.
And I know lesbians who don't have much success with women so wouldn't it be arguable that they would become straight if this is so? And before you start saying their ugly, they've all had to deal with guys who did not know they were lesbians hitting on them, so it's safe to say men found these women attractive.

I see you're a Rush Limbaugh fan, he said: "Feminism was established to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream."
-Quite a popular sentiment among the uninformed, but patently untrue.
-The majority of feminists (I have met hundreds, have you?) I'm met are married, to men. If they are men, they're married to women.
-The lesbians I know (I've met hundreds, have you?) aren't attracted to men (that's why they're lesbians, duh),
-The majority of lesbians I've met have a female partner
So, no, feminists aren't usually lesbians, but some are lesbians, and some are bisexual, and some are gay.
Using your "reasoning" : If you can't attract the opposite sex, or any of your male friends or other anti-feminists can't attract the opposite sex, does that mean that's why you are gay now?

Contrary to what seems to be a popular belief on this board, the vast majority of lesbians don't hate men. They just are not sexually attracted to them. It is possible to have friends of the opposite sex without being physically attracted to them. It does not mean these women are ugly because many of them aren't nor are they unsuccessful with men. They just choose not to have sexual relationships with men because they are not attracted to them.

So let me get this straight. Women who want to be treated like the equals that we are are lesbians?
If so, I only find it fair to proclaim that men who find themselves utterly superior to us feminists must be gay themselves because no woman in her right mind would give them any type of time commitment so they to would need to group together as an action of defense.

i can honestly say, no jokes about it, that the feminist women i have known have had longer and more successful relationships with men than than the non-feminists. this is because the feminists seek out men who are ALSO feminists, or at least understand the plight of feminism. Therefore, they treat women with respect and do not expect them to be hairless, skinny, quiet housekeepers. they want a WOMAN. i'm telling you, there are many good men out there, and my boyfriend is one of them. These men do not hold the ignorant and sexist views that many of the guys on here do. these men are so much stronger, more capable, and attractive, because they know themselves and don't have to step all over women to stroke their egos.

That is 100% correct. Not to mention very obvious. Thats why you don't find too many model hot women who are hard core feminists.
