They control the House and Senate and still can't get anything worth while accomplished. That speaks volumes of their leadership.
They can't blame Bush and his Veto options because as far as I know he has only used it twice during his 2 terms.

Those who put any faith in either party advancing their agenda are seriously deluded.
How well did the Republicans do ending abortion, securing the borders, conducting a comprehensive audit of Congress for waste, fraud and abuse, and implementing a zero base-line budgeting process for the annual Federal Budget?
They didn't do anything. Why should we expect more from the Democrats? Both do what they want, not what the American people want. It's called "lip service".
Republicans would feel jilted, too, if they weren't blinded by false patriotism.

S.O.S. (Same Old Sheist!)
Just more of it, since they now control both the House and the Senate. They are more concerned with taking down Bush and his administration than they are with actually governing the country and passing any meaningful legislation to remedy the problems we are having in this country.
Problems which, by the way, they in large part created!

At this point theyve been able to accomplish nothing, but its not all in vein, since they will be able to demonstrate that the republicans were able to block the things that almost 70 percent of voters want, that 70 percent will remember that come election time.........I grew up republican, voted republican for over 20 yrs, but if the republicans think '06 was bad, wait till they see '08

The Democrats hold a very slim majority in both houses, and the Senate needs 60 votes for closure to even hold a vote. The Republicans have shut down tons of votes by threatening to filibuster.
Which, again shows the hypocrisy of conservatives. They cried and whined and screamed bloody murder when the Democratic minority stopped a very small number of appointments from going forward thru not allowing closure and threatening filibuster. They claimed it was wrong and blah blah blah. Now the Republicans are doing it on an almost daily basis.
Unbelievable hypocrites.

It's been such a long time since the announcement that the President would bring to justice the person behind 9/11, how is that coming along?
It's been such a long time since the President said he would secure our borders, how is that coming along?
It's been a long time since the President said he would reform Social Security, how is that coming along?
Amazing to think this was all promised when the Republicans controlled the Congress.

Give them a break, they did get some "non-binding" resolutions passes. We all know our tax dollars should pay the salaries of representatives who pass bills that can't be enforced. As far as I know, that's about the only major legislation they have passed.

I would almost be willing to let the Dems win the white house just so that the Dems have nothing to blame their failure on other than themselves.
