lol
@ scratchy joe- the movement has no credibility, as it is composed of people shouting "free the jena 6" and "first katrina, now jena"
huh.."free the jena six", even though no one has the emeralds to deny the fact that these thugs jumped and brutally beat a man- put race aside; should there be no penalty for thug behavior that could have easily killed someone?! six on one, the first blow renders victim unconscious, and while he is on the ground he is repeatedly kicked in the head?! by six people?!- it sounds as if these guys dont need to be in society, if this is how they resolve conflict
as for the katrina "connection"- people need to grow up and put racist inciter crybabies like kanye west on the shelf; one had zero to do with the other
when people refuse to take responsibility for their actions society MUST do it for them

What started this whole mess was wrong. Nooses hanging from a tree in the South is a threat no doubt. And I'm not even going to say the suspension was sufficient punishment. I thought it was light for what they did. But Rev. Al is more wrong for stirring up the racial tensions than the six were about giving one of the ones who hung the nooses a beating. And beating up someone for hanging a noose is escalation to violence. How can a violent act ever be condoned as response for a no violent act is beyond me.

yeah..i get it. al and jesse have been wrong before. it doesn't really speak to anything in THIS case, tho...does it? try and stick to facts. and NO, i don't have my mind made up on this case at all yet. (check my questions) i just believe in a level head
tammy - did he say something here that was racist? why'd you throw that label on him?
EDIT: what am i saying that deserves "thumbs down?" lol. and tammy, "call them as i see them is" not an answer to what i asked you. show me how smart you are.

i'm sure it fits with their agenda. it's amusing that blacks went from complaining about the initial murder charges to noose hanging which had NOTHING to do with the beaten victim to a supposed bottle fight(never happened btw, only a fight broke out between young white males and black students at a party) to a kid protecting himself against 3 black kids by getting his rifle which was wrestled away and taken home by one of the 3 black kids to I don't know what they blame now. I guess black people blame the tree. black people sure go out of their way to be victims.............
