Apocolypse Now

I seriously sat there in awe of the whole experience these men must have truly had. I know it is something I'll never have to deal with which only made it more emotionally wrenching knowing I survive because of others sacrifice. It truly affected me on a very strong emotional level.

The last one I remembered was the show called 'Titanic', a 1997 American romantic drama film directed, written, and co-produced by James Cameron about the sinking of the RMS Titanic. It stars Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio as Rose DeWitt Bukater and Jack Dawson respectively, members of different social classes who fall in love aboard the ill-fated 1912 maiden voyage of the ship. Bill Paxton plays Brock Lovett, the leader of a treasure hunting expedition, while Gloria Stuart has the role of the elderly Rose, who narrates the story in 1996. The film was both a critical and commercial success, winning eleven Academy Awards including Best Film, and became the highest grossing film of all time, with a total worldwide gross of US$1.8 billion.

Cheers and have a nice week ahead :)

The Color Purple.

I find this film so personally moving that if I am flipping through channels and happen upon this film there are certain scenes that will make me spontaneously burst into tears. I don't even have to be watching the whole film to get into the mood. Like the scene where her sister is being dragged away from her.

Also,
Sommersby

I sob uncontrollably at the end of this movie - every time I see it.

Schindler's list. Very moving and emotional. Hurts your heart to know people were treated so cruely. Angers you to know that people can be so cruel.

White Oleander was an emotional movie on a different level. Different type of cruelty, but just as real as the one in Shindler's list. Using the unconditional love of a child for her mother and the need of acceptance of a child from her mother to hurt and manipulate that child is unforgiveable.
