I can't see why. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I've seen many a person who is outwardly gorgeous but inwardly shallow while someone else is average to plain with a soul as gorgeous as a spring morning. It all depends on what one considers Beauty to be.
Society itself is so caught up in itself. Considering what passes for fun, I highly doubt Society feels much shame at all.

Maybe...cos society tends to idolise smn attractive, beautiful and famous, etc. When they idolise a certain person or people, they just like to see what's beautiful according to their own perceptions and views or whatever. And... at some point when this particular person or particular people the society idolises with, is/ are not meeting their expectations...then, the society will feel outrageous and at the end they'll try to do whatever they can to even destroy that particular person or people. I know this sounds blunt or rude or sth. But, this is what always happens. Especially when it comes to gay stuff. Geee, they can't just simply accept them.

Well, general society cannot imagine a beautiful gay person because society fashions what it considers beautiful to be a reflection of itself. It's sad, though.
