Okay... I've never really been into musical instruments. That is- until I turned sixteen, which was this year. I began to teach myself the guitar. I was quite good, I'll admit. I got Gingle Bells my first day! Yay! Over a month I progressed and began to write lyrics and a couple melodies- never able to put them together though. Until I began dreaming music. LITERALLY. NO JOKE. Music I've never heard before. I'd wake up singing and humming!!! But once I was fully conscious I couldn't remember anything... what the heck? What could this mean?

Like me, you have melodies in your head you have not figured out how to capture. I write lyrics and have over 40 songs, with lyrics to two published. I just don't know how to write it.

It means - have a journal next to your bed with a working pen/pencil to write the melodies down in music notation when you wake.

Start keeping a writing pad and/or a voice recorder by your bed so you can get it when it's fresh.
