i am not i need a mortgage to pay sometimes if i have afew necessary items at once. i now have pre pay cert.
My sister has MS and has had for 20 years but MS is not on the list for exemptions so she pays for scripts. I would consider MS to be a cause for exemption.

I think that it's appalling that we have to pay for prescription charges for on going diseases like MS, it's not like you have a choice as to whether or not you take these medications - you need them for your pain relief and yet addicts can get methadone free of charge - this country has got it's priorities all cocked up.

I've just had to fork out £35.85 for a pre-payment certificate. I get the grand total of £241 per month on DLA, but as I'm not entitled to Income Support, I have to pay. I am now £30 overdrawn and I don't get paid again for another 2 weeks.

I do not see a reason personally to pay anyone for a prescription if I can order meds online and get them delivered to my door almost for the price I am charged for a script..
just try some online pharmacies, this is the one I use, so far quite statisfied

in the case of MS i know people who work with it it is only when they rest they get bad (if i remember rightly) but if they cant cure they should help. we are lucky to have this system at all some other western countries dont and the citizens get on with it fine, their are others who do but the tax is very high such as sweden and they get everything free but house prices are about the same

No I dont agree with them either. A few years back when I first got my house. Money was really really tight for me (I was working always have), anyway I needed a prescription, however I either had money for food or the prescription but couldnt do both.... so I couldnt have my prescription hun simple as that!!!
