Gotta love that one! You just made my day. It's always nice when people point out the liberal tendency to not think things through and make decisions based on emotion. Thanks for that bit of satire -- too bad your garden variety liberal won't get it.

Liberals say if you don't believe what we believe then you have no heart.

I say if you believe what liberals believe then you have no brain.

There really needs to be an overhaul of the history curriculum in our high schools, middle schools and grade schools.

Why did we go to war with Germany? Germany had a treaty with Japan. When Japan (a soveriegn nation with a standing army) attacked us at Pearl Harbor, we declared war on Japan ( the sovereign nation with the standing army). The soveriegn nation of Germany, with their own standing army, responded in accordance with said treaty by declaring war with the United States.

Do you need more examples of how simpleminded the comparisons between Iraq and WWII are?

We've been in Iraq longer.

Iraq never attacked us. They invaded Kuwait and we slapped them down 16 years ago.

Gemany invaded Poland because they thought they should. Why did we invade Iraq, again?

And by the way, my Grandpa was too busy fighting the war as a sailor in the Pacific, like his grandson much later, to worry about what people at home were saying.

One more thing about WWII- the guys who were able to fight but stayed at home were not thought of as "supporting the troops." They were COWARDS. They were ASHAMED that others were dying in their stead. There was no magnet ribbon to slap on the car and feel good about. There were shortages, rationing, taxes to pay for the war, and SACRIFICE.

The guys who should be beaten are the Chickenhawks.

In a way, it did. Many on the left criticized "imperialist" England, and FDR's aid of them, against Hitler in WWII, while the alliance between Hitler and Stalin was in effect.

The change for them came not with Pearl Harbor, but a year or so earlier, when Germany attached the Soviet Union.

When Hitler was a friend of Stalin, the US was told by the left to stay neutral. When Hitler attacked the Communists, all of the sudden the left backed the allies.

And Soviet files, opened after the fall of the USSR, demonstrate that the Soviets did have operatives in the US engaged in these types of protest activities.

Look it up!

65 years ago there was a Communist party in America that was a very real force. Moveon is a reaction to the so called Swiftboat attack dogs, and their big money corporations using false fronts for political attacks and to create division in America.
65 years ago, someone who skipped out on military service would not have been able to compete for the presidency against someone who actually saw combat, no matter what their views.
65 years ago America had actual morals, not the fake ones brought on by corporatist radio stations.

I'd like to think our politicians would have distanced themselves as far away from MoveOn as possible. If not, all of Europe would be speaking German, and there'd be no Jews left.

99.99% of the people who think it's a gross violation of our civil rights for the government to look into whether the government's computer was used to go online and look up how to make a bomb think FDR's detention of American citizens of Japanese descent was a small matter.....

And that is why I have ZERO respect for the protesters - - - because they are not acting out of principle, they are just upset that it's not their guy.

If they lived 65 years ago, they would be helping Stalin instill communism in Russia.
