I use to work in an obgyn office and listened to a drug rep's explanation of Gardasil. After hearing the benefits of it and talking to the doctor about it, I would recommend it to anyone. There can be some very minor side effects at first but nothing to worry about. As far as long term side effects that one really can't say because it is so new. The OBYGN that I worked with said it really isn't any different then getting a tetanus shot it is only for a girls protection. I think your sister would be very smart to get the shot series. It can only benefit her.
There was also just a recent release stating that Gardasil is being found to protect against more types of HPV than thought. This only increases the reasons why one should get it. I hate to say it, but if your parents are telling her not to get it, they should do a little more reading up on Gardasil.

Pretty risky. With the majority of kids with autism having stemmed from getting immunizations, I would be leary about "trying" something new. A lot of the times they'll try out immunizations on kids for 3-5 days, if there's no negative side effects, then they'll give it to the public! I have a little theory too about the drug companys and getting more money however they can.
I heard that people that get the flu shot 5 or more times are a HUGE percentage more likely of getting alzheimers when they're older. The percentage is so huge that most likely everyone will have it when they're old.
Study it on google. There's so much positive and negative, and when I see so much negative, I tend to wonder.

HPV (human papilloma virus) has not been shown to reason prostate maximum cancers yet has been related to cervical maximum cancers. via fact the drug replaced into examined on women individuals for a girl's area (adult men have not have been given any cervix), it may not acquire to adult men until there's a "clinical reason" to attempt it on adult men. the way the FDA works isn't inevitably what it superb for individuals. optimistically somebody someplace will think of it important to vaccinate adult men for the virus as properly.

Um, I'm sure lots of animals were tortured before they gave it to humans, so I don't think referring to your sister's fellow students as guinea pigs is too intelligent.
How the hell does the shot "promote promiscuity"?!? Are YOU so turned on by getting shots that you want to go out and screw??
The most important long term effect is that it guards against the HPV virus, which can cause cervical CANCER.

I think that it is great. Sure, there may be side effects, but there are side effects to any immunization or medicine you take. HPV is one of the most popular STD's there is. If you can prevent getting it than why not? As for promoting promiscuity, I doubt that. This doesn't protect you from any other STD's or pregnancy.

A few years ago, my friend was in the hospital every few months. She never told me why, just that she had "growths" in her cervix.
Only now do I realize that her "problems" were caused by sleeping around as a young teenager.
She will never be able to have children.
Your sister was smart to get vaccinated. I hope she doesn't think she's protected against STD's or pregnancy, though.

Ok, this vaccine has been approved for the use of people their age up to the age of 26. They're not "trying" anything...it's past the experimental stage and it's approved for public use. You need to relax...this vaccine will only save lives.

I think it is a good thing. It can help PREVENT cancer! I don't know why people are against it. Cancer is a horrible disease.
