I've already checked him out, Dearest, and he's a wolf in sheeps clothing. He's got the full consent of the Moral Majority and although he might mean well, bless him, any one who has their backing doesn't mean us any good.
I'm sorry if I sound cynical, but it's the one place I am. I was politically cycnical at the age of 9 when I voted to impeach Nixon (one of the few in my 4th grade class).
He's too far a Right-Winger for my taste.

Ron Paul '08!
Sadly, he doesn't stand a chance, not even for a vice-presidential slot. His ideas are too threatening to the power structure of the Republican Party.

I can only speak for myself, No WAY! He opposed the war in Iraq. Ron Paul has done some great stuff in the past but he opposed the war, so I oppose him. I support John McCain. That Tancredo guy is OK too.

He is a true constitutionalists republican, and someone who should be supported. He actually believes in the Constitution, this country, and what it stands for. Most Dems and Repubs are two sides of the same coin at this point in time.
Really I support him because he wants to get rid of the Federal Reserve.

Ron Paul is to Republicans what Kucinich is to Democrats. They are both too liberal in their own parties to ever be nominated in their party. If it came down to Ron Paul and Hillary my vote is for Hillary.

I would fully support him if he supports getting rid of DADT, at least creating civil unions for gay people, and putting ant-discrimination laws in place in the workplace, etc.
*Edit*
I was with him until this:
"Supports the Defense of Marriage Act, and opposes the extension of federal marriage benefits to include same-sex couples."

he voted to ban gay marriage and ban gay adoption.
he's an idiot.
I would be surprised if he got gay support . here is his voting record.
http://www.ontheissues.org/TX/Ron_Paul.htm
the only three politicans on either side who are proudly in favor of gay rights and loud about it are joe biden, mike gravel, and dennis kucinich. that's it.
