A solution is heterogeneous if it looks uniform. Hence, Tap Water (assuming you live in a town with a good water supply), Steel and Air are all homogeneous. Orange Juice (if it has pulp) and raisin muffins are heterogeneous since you can see the different parts that make up the mixture.

Orange juice without pulp and tap water are homogeneous liquids.
Air is homogeneous mixture of oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide and water vapor and is a gas.

Steel is a homogeneous alloy of carbon, iron and other alloying elements and is a solid.

Raisin Muffins are heterogeneous mixtures since the raisins are distinctly separate from the other parts. Solid.

Orange juice with pulp is heterogeneous liquid with some solid suspended.

Homogeneous means that the material or substance has an equal number of everything that is consists of. Hetrogeneous means that the material and substance doesnt have an equal number of everything that it consists of.

Homogeneous: Tap water, Steel, Air (This is because no matter which part of eg tap water you take it would consist of 2 hydrogen and 1 oxygen atom)
Heterogeneous:Orange Juice(with pulp), Raisin Muffins (This is because eg if you cut the raisin muffin into slices there would be different number of raisins in each slice)
