I think it is major but the Mainstream media, the liberal blogs and the democratic party will stuff it enough that the true ramifications of it will never be known to us since it would jeopardize the Democrats run for offices in 2008.

Funny how the righties get their panties all in a bunch about campaign contributions all of a sudden.
Ever hear of a guy named Jack Abramoff?
What about the $100K he raised for Bush (that wasn't returned)?
Maybe they can get cells next to each other in Who Gives A S**T State Prison.
The answer, obviously, is to take the money out of elections. Make a base donation to the US treasury manditory to run, say $400 Million. This money is then meted out for the candidates and the best ideas, not the best fundraisers, win the day.

If the FEC doesn't freak out I will struggle with whether or not I should be surprised.
