The kingpin is the large rod like pin that the steering knuckles pivot on! These bearings should be greased every 6 months! Best to you! ;-)=

I tries to access an Lorry van and nothing came up. Generally speaking king pins are located at the ends of solid front axle trucks and large commercial vans. The grease fitting is on the king pin as it passes through the solid front beam axle. It's (king pin) located at the very end of the axle, one on each end. The king pin is a finely machined piece of metal that is pressed through the axle and passes through the end of the axle. The kingpin supports each front wheel hub where the wheel bearings are located. Use only the best high temp. based wheel bearing grease. Lucas and Redline are great examples.

The king pin passes thru the spindle and the axle and is the pin the allows the front wheels to turn side to side. There is normally a grease fitting in the very top and bottom of the pin>

It's the bit that allows the front wheels to turn about it. If you have a solid axle there MIGHT be grease nipples above and below the solid axle bit. If you have a more modern machine the chances are that the the bearings are 'sealed for life' and do not and cannot be greased.

The front wheels are held on by a "king pin" or "pivot pin"as opposed to upper and lower ball joints as on a car.
