This is a really stupid question!
If she makes a noise, cries out, screams or what ever, then yes she makes a noise, regardless of whether or not anyone else hears her.

Are you suggesting that your Nan is no-one? Shame on you! She would hear the loud thump and even if she's deaf, she would sense the vibration. She would also hear the sound of her anguished scream of pain, as I hope would you and come to her rescue.
