Um... Don't like it, don't watch it! :) Easy right? Leave it to the fans that TRULY LOVE the game!
"I'd walk through hell in a gasoline suit to play baseball." ~Pete Rose
I know it's long but it's fantastic!
"Fans, for the past two weeks you have been reading about a bad break I got. Yet today, I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth. I have been in ballparks for seventeen years and I have never received anything but kindness and encouragement from you fans. Look at these grand men. Which of you wouldn't consider it the highlight of his career just to associate with them for even one day? Sure I'm lucky. Who wouldn't have considered it an honor to have known Jacob Ruppert? Also, the builder of baseball's greatest empire, Ed Barrow? To have spent six years with that wonderful little fellow, Miller Huggins? Then to spend the next nine years with that outstanding leader, that smart student of psychology, the best manager in baseball today, Joe McCarthy? Sure I'm lucky. When the New York Giants, a team you would give your right arm to beat and vice versa, sends you a gift, that's something. When everybody down to the groundskeepers and those boys in white coats remember you with trophies, that's something. When you have a father and mother who work all their lives so that you can have an education and build your body, it's a blessing. When you have a wife who has been a tower of strength and shown more courage than you dreamed existed, that's the finest thing I know. So I close in saying that I might have had a bad break, but I have an awful lot to live for." ~Lou Gehrig

To humor you, it's exciting because 90% of the people watching or more can't perform what the players are doing. So it's exciting to watch people do something you can't. Plus it's a night event for the most part. You think it's boring because of the length of the game, but football games usually run longer and football is the number one sport as far as television ratings go.

Ok The cool part is that each ball park is unique. Some will favor hitting some pitching and some depend on which way the wind is blowing. You sound like you think it is really easy but you would stink at baseball. It does not take to long. That is one thing that is good no ties. There is no clock so wating time does nothing. It's not like in basketball how you can run time off the clock.

May be boring, but it's certainly much more exciting then asking the same question over and over.
You've made your point - you hate baseball. Must be nice to have nothing more important to do with your life then to criticize something that you obviously know absolutely nothing about.
By the way - it's 3 strikes and your out. I have just increased your intelligence level about the game 500 %.
Come back when you have something remotely interesting to say. Until then, stick to wrestling questions.

Do You Like Any Sports At all? baseball is fun, athletic and cool,
plus its better if you play it, not watch it, and the ball chasing is the same as every single sport, besides track and swimming
where you are still just chasing one thing, a line. not boring if you play it.

Your question could be better phrased to 'why is baseball so boring to me' and we can't answer that.
The game itself is only boring if everyone thinks it is, but we don't obviously. We wouldn't spend the time answering questions about it if we did.
Baseball is a game of subtlety and has to be appreciated over the long term.
Many people say that Basketball needs only be viewed in the last 2 minutes, that's where the winner or loser show up on 90% of occasions.
I participate in football pools and fantasy football, but I couldn't be bothered to watch a single game, exhibition, regular season or playoffs. I have never seen a complete superbowl game and probably have seen bits of only 3.
I find it boring, but I don't expect others to share that opinion.

Thank you Dork for your great question.
This question can not be answered for the game of baseball is anything but boring.
Dogs fetching balls would have been more apropo.
Please come again.

Well, now...
My day is complete. The "Dork" is at it again.
I can rest easy knowing the allotted amount of idiot questions for the weekend have been asked... or have they? Will check back with the "Dork" later when I absolutely-positively-without a doubt have nothing better to do.
Y'all have a dorky weekend, ya'hear!

Well, it is a game that to truly enjoy you need to understand it well. There is a lot involved with every single pitch thrown, whether someone is on base, how best to play defense. It is a great game of skill and strategy.

I'll bet that you prefer an action movie to well written drama with subtle plot twists. Baseball is our national pastime and the greatest sport. If you don't understand it, you'll probably never get it.
