I've been living away from my home city for the past 3 years and it sure snows in the places I've been living! I HATE the snow!! It's cold and wet and at least in the city, it's dirty and gross. (Though I'm sure it looks really pretty in the countryside!)
But, now that I'm leaving here in a week and going back home, I probably won't get any snow for the winter. (Once in a while we get a couple of days of snow.) The snow is pretty in movies and maybe for a day or two, but that's all I can take!

South Louisiana, I am 31 and it has snowed 3 times in my life. The last time was on Christmas day. That was an all out miracle. The chances of it snowing here are slim to none and for it to actually snow on Christmas day was amazing. That was about 3 Christmases ago, too cool.

I'm in NJ and it definitely snows here, but after the first snow of the year, which is always so exciting, it just gets to be a messy hassle! Wouldn't mind living in Vegas with great weather all year round.

I live in Cleveland, and its snows plenty here. We get blizzards and its very beautiful to look out at the new fallen snowy with the moon casting its gaze on it at night, it looks like its tinted an ethereal blue. Cleveland is only one of 3 places in the whole world that gets lake effect snow, I believe the other two are in Michigan and Tibet, according to Dick Goddard - he's the weather man in this area and had been doing the weather for as long as I can remember. anyway, yes and its lovely and sometimes it snows just before Christmas morning, so we have a white Christmas. a few years ago, we had a blizzard on Christmas and we waited out the storm at my S-I-L's house then drove through the MetroParks at 4AM to get home, and it was magical really, there was a family of deer all together standing in the shelter of a grove of snow covered trees. Truly beautiful.

I live in N.E. Ohio, so, yes, it snows here on Christmas. However, last year the temps were in the 50s and very mild. It didn't feel like Christmas, but we saved on our heating bills and I didn't have to worry about driving to a family member's house in the snow. :)
I live in the 'secondary snow belt.' We don't get as much snow as those who live in Ashtabula County or areas in the far northeast corner of the state.
The snow IS beautiful to look at and to walk in, but it's a pain driving in it and shoveling it!
I love the changes in seasons in N.E. Ohio. Right now, the leaves are turning and we know what that means! sigh!
It snowed like crazy on Valentine's Day this year (a blizzard). My husband and I had to shovel our driveway 3 times that day (or we couldn't get out).

Yes. I currently live in Indiana and grew up in Michigan. It snows a lot. Once you get over the initial beauty of a first country snowfall (wide open white spaces, the brisk freshness of the cold air) snow is actually kind of a pain. But it's beautiful to look at when you are inside cozied up to a warm fire.
But in all honestly, I'd rather live somewhere warm year round.

EDIT: LMAO @ This statement Cleveland is only one of 3 places in the whole world that gets lake effect snow, I believe the other two are in Michigan and Tibet, ...umm who ever told you that doesnt know their weather, lake effects happen in the great lakes regions I live in Northern New York state (wayyyy up north) not only do we get Lake Effect Snow but we also get Noreasters. Go here and read all about lake effects, pay attention to the part about New York state

Snowbelt Warning!!!!!
I live in northeast Ohio on the bank of lake Erie.
One winter night i went to sleep with an inch or 2 on the ground, the next morning I awoke to more snow than i had ever seen in my life, it had buried all the cars in the driveway, and was up to my waist..... incredible how 3 ft of snow can fall overnight.

We get to mow our lawns in November most years, but every once in a while we do get a bit of snow between Christmas and Valentine's Day. I love to look at snow, but I have to admit I am glad to avoid the hassles of daily travel through it.
