Just this morning? Yes!
I turned on the LIGHT after I woke up to some JAZZ, then I got on my PERSONAL COMPUTER and used MICROSOFT to go over some stuff. Then I called my travel agent on the TELEPHONE to book an AIRPLANE flight for my husband's trip and came and sat on YAHOO answers to enlighten and be enlightnened.
Heck and it's only 10:30 in the morning and the ones I named don't include the eastern inventions which were pretty significant (ohhh, like the alphabet, the number "0", paper, the postal system and a few other "little" things like that)

The transistor. There's room for debate here so I'll give you the integrated circuit too (Texas Instruments in USA).
Chopsticks (China or Japan), maybe you don't use them, I do.
Pasta (China).
The ball pen. Debatable, Biro completed the development in Argentina but he already had one working by the time he came here and it was made in Europe.
The telephone. Two possible inventors and both did it in the USA.
I'm sure that I can find a lot more...

This site was invented by an American for starters. How about my truck, GMC Sierra, which is American made. Automobiles in general were invented by An American. Hot Dogs and hamburgers. I play baseball and basketball. Both invented by Americans. Or how about football? Not futball, but football. Electricity was invented by an American. Lightbulbs were invented by an American. I could go on and on, but you get the point.
