Mostly.
Because we can't really please every single person around us.

I would like to say yes, but I also know that no matter how kind some people are, there are other people who don't care. For the most part, I think people would be pleased, but some people don't want to be nice and considerate--happy people annoy them.

No...Why would the word "selfish" be in the dictionary if that would be true?
Not everyone is as selfless as we could like for them to be. Or even appreciative of many things that are done for them. Have you ever encountered that one person that sneezes...you say "Bless you", then they look at you with that thought in a bubble..."WTF are you???"
I still treat everyone the way they treat me though. You're nice...I'm nice. You're mean...I'm MEANER.
Have a nice day.

I'd like to believe that, but with the way the world is today it's the "ME" generation. Everyone is so into themselves and so focused on themselves, they don't really consider others feelings. I do believe that if you treat others like you'd like to be treated and do good things, good things will come to you. Ten times fold.

You would think so. But the reality is that the way 'I' might want to be treated might not be pleasing to someone else.
They may have entirely different views as to the proper way to treat someone.

No, some people still treat you badly even when you are decent to them. It's just the way it is.

I think that would work with most people, but some people are not going to be happy no matter what you do.

That isn't always true... some people are just mean to everyone and never happy. But if you're nice to someone else, they're likely to be nice to you.

I would say 90 over percentage of those people will be pleased and happy. And the minority one are those who take things for granted. There are such people, although not many.
