I maild a package to my sister in Greece on the 4 th of September. I sent it first class.It still has not gotten there.Has anyone else had this problem? And yes it did have the correct postage and forms. I checked with the Post Office and they just say it takes time.

If you sent it first class international it could take up to a month. when you mail international, your fastest way is to go Priority mail, and it could still take a couple of weeks. Don't forget you customs forms, or they may never get there. have a great day Lynne! (p.s. I work in a post office part time.)

The US Postal Service does NOT use ships for surface mail anymore, due to the lack of demand. All mail goes via air.
Usually I deliver parcels sent from overseas to the US about 10 days after it is mailed, letters take about 7 days.
Many times mail is slowed down going thru customs.

next time insure it and get a tracing number. They will blame the Greek post office. If your post office is like Canada Post . Good luck they can mess up the lords prayer.I get mail for someone 2 blocks away when the regular guy is off.

i once sent my fiance a package from Michigan to Italy. it took a few weeks.....
and now his parents send stuff for the grand kid from Sicily to Michigan, and it takes a few weeks... but never send money... i think they have money sniffing dogs just so they can open your mail and steal it.....
they can send gifts for the kid and it is un-opened and untouched, but once they sent money it was opened and re-wrapped... and they did it again another time but only put a few dollars in just to see if it happened again, and also sent a separate kid package without money... and again, the one with money had been opened and the money was gone......the other was not opened....

Rough seas up that way the last few weeks. Shoulda just fired up the ol Hog and got on a cargo ship and rode it over there personally....lol ROAD TRIP!!

hmmm,let's see...it's sept.21 and it still hasn't come!!i'd say another 10 days!this has never happened to me before!
heck,you could have swum over here faster!!hehe!!☺
we just have to be patient!!the stupid greek post office is at fault!they are too lazy to work!!
