That's pretty. I also know a little girl named Laurel. I think that's nice also.

I have a friend called Laurie and I think it is a nice name hun!
It can be used for both sexes and it's meaning is Laurel. It's Origin is Latin and it is a form of the name Laura.
Other variants of this name are Laurianne.

Good Luck!

My name is Lauren how about that? I meet a few Laurens every now and again but it is quite unusual. People quite often get confused when I say my name though and think my name is Laura or Lorna...
Laurie is a nice name as well though and it has a special meaning to the family which makes it even better!

Sure, Laurie is nice. It the name going to be Lauren with Laurie as a nick name? I think Lauren would be more appropriate when your daughter becomes an adult. It sounds more sophisticated.

it's a really nice name...... BUT, i use to work in a school and there was a boy there called laurie (presumably laurence but shortened) and he was a fairly big lad. so kids being kids changed laurie to lorry and needless to say he wasn't best pleased!!

That sounds like a lovely name.
Do you have a 'baby name book? there are some lovely names in them + only tonight my husband & I was only saying where are all the old fashioned names gone. Please don't name your baby after a fruit or month. Like Apple, coco, april, june. Maddison is a nice name.
Good luck

I really like it, it has a uniqueness about it. It's more individual than Lauren, Laurel or Laura, it's a very feminine name and it shows your deep respect for your dad!
Go for it!
