I know this sounds weird, but I actually get in the crib. That way I can reach all the corners. Also take off any rings first, they always get stuck.

OOHHH! That's one of those new-mommy things you get so frustrated with cuz you can't see how it's possibly done! It was the same way for me at first. But with time, as much as you will be changing it, you'll have it down to routine in no time flat! I just start on one corner, pull the sheet over it, and continue around the mattress doing the same on each corner. When I put the sheet on each corner, I lift the corner of the mattress right up. It's frustrating at first, cuz you'd think you can do it without moving the bumper pad - but you can't. Just put the sheet on, then I go around and slide the bumper pad back into place after the sheet is fully on. Like I said, it seems like such a big deal at first, but eventually you'll get the hang of it and it won't matter so much.

I just pull the mattress right out, put the new sheet on and stuff it back in and then readjust the bumpers. At least while I had them in. I took them out as my boy is able to wiggle around in his crib and I didn't want to risk him getting up next to them and smothering himself. Also I found that I couldn't just look in his room to see if he was moving, I had to go right up to the crib and sometimes that would wake him up, sensing me near.
Since taking out the bumpers my boy has discovered that kicking at his crib wakes me up faster than cooing. He hates crying and only cries if he is really bothered by something or way over tired. I mean he would rather sit in a dirty diaper and just make faces before crying. Kids eh?

I personally just pull up the bumper and then take off the sheet and put a new one on.. I never have to remove the bumper!

Try undoing one side, slipping the sheet over, and then, doing the other side. I used to work at a baby store, and that's how we used to do things. It might still be time consuming, but at least you won't have to take off the bumper all together.

Bumpers are baby smotherers... i dont use them. My son has rolled since birth and I was afraid he'd roll up against it and not be able to figure out how to roll away from it.
