Where do stretch marks start? Can they start around your belly button. Im only 11 weeks so of course i don't have them yet...im not even really showing yet. BUT i have noticed shiny lines around my belly button. They're not pink or anything and they blend in with my skin..its wierd. At first i thought it was just dry skin and i put lotion on it...but that's not it. What ya'll think?

They can start from any where .Massaging on the stretch marks serves as an excellent home remedy for stretch marks removal. You can either use olive oil, flaxseed oil, vitamin E oil or cod liver oil for the purpose of massage. Check out http://useinfo-stretchmarks.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.

Stretch marks are genetic believe it or not if you are prone to getting them no matter what you do you will get them. There are things you can do to lessen the look of stretch marks. Use Coco Butter Lotion every day and through out the day as often as possible. When I was pregnant I weighed 210 lbs the day I gave birth to my daughter I gained about 90 lbs during my pregnancy, I used the lotion on my stomach and did not get one stretch mark on my stomach but did not put any on my hips and I have a few there! Good luck!

Don't scratch! Use lotion or baby oil to soothe your skin and use it as often as possible. Don't forget to keep yourself hydrated, it really helps your skin. I'm 36 weeks and I can understand what your talking about, it's like that around my belly button too, they aren't red or pink, but I can see some faint lines. But just hope and pray.... NO MARKS! Good luck.

I have a tone of stretch marks!!! I really didn't think i was gunna get any, but... i guess things just happen. when i think about it. i remember that i saw one coming up just below my belly button. It really depends on each person... but i didn't know it was a stretch mark until it turned pink. It didn't turn red/purple until after i delivered my baby. every body's different but you just might be witnessing your first stretch mark. i remember mine looked like my skin had a silky spot or something. Its really never too soon to get stretchmarks. if you think you are starting to get them. try some vitamin e. It sure helped me.

well i knew i was going to get stretch marks.. i was always so tiny.. (before i got pregnant..lol not anymore) I started using lotion the day i found out i was pregnant.. i put it on twice a day most days and i got them everywhere!! On my stomach.. boobs.. my hips and my the out side of my upper legs!! so i dont think anything can really keep you from getting them.. especially if your tiny.. but thats just my opinion.. I do know some people who were littler than me that didnt get not one though!! lucky ladies!! lol so i think its just up too your body and how you grow.. anyway congrats and good luck!

i would just keep puttin lotion on ur stomach, chest, and thighs cause those are the most common places for stretch marks whenever you are pg but they say using all those coco butter creams and stuff really aren't that much help... that you will get stretch marks if you are bound to ge them and there isn't much u can do about it.. but if anything i would get vitamin e and coco butter and try using that cause the vitamin e is supposed to be really good for the elasticity of your skin... good luck...

The marks can be on your belly, breasts on even on the backs of your leggs. I would say, that it sound like you are getting some on your belly. Just keep lotion on. Some times they go away after birth.

They can start anywhere, mine started on my hips and back and I didn't have any on my stomach until later on. You don't have to be very big to get them, some women just do. I recommend using creams for stretch marks now on your belly, back, thighs, and breasts so hopefully you can avoid them. Once they are there, there isn't a lot you can do about it.

If theyre shiney theyre probably old ones that you havent noticed until now. When new theyre purple colored. Keep lotion on them. THey start where ever the skin stretches the most.
