Gee you picked my favorite.
I've been watching wrestling since 1982. But back in the day I always hated the WWF because I always felt like it was too cartoonish and silly. I was a big time NWA fan. That's where I felt like the real wrestling was at. Until I saw The Hitman and Mr Perfect fight for the IC title. What an amazing show of technical wrestling ability, sheer guts, and determination. Now...well I've been a fan of The WWF/E ever since. To this day it's still one of the best matches I've ever seen. Thanks for some great wrestling memories. Think I'll go watch the match on YouTube now.

Wow, you chose a good one. In fact, that would have been my first choice as well. Both men hit every move with an intensity that was awesome. Funny thing is, the SummerSlam was set up by a prior match a few months on one of the WWF shows, which was just as good for the title.
So, with all due respect, I'll grab the one where Curt Hennig won to retain the title, only to lose it in Summerslam

Your match is my 2nd favorite IC Title Match ever. But my favorite is
Bret Hart vs. Britist Bulldog at Summerslam 1992. Main evented the show and stole the show. 75000 fans strong in Wembley Stadium and not a one was sitting during this match. It was a great match based on skill and determination and was just unbelievable. Bret lost but it was still a classic.

My money goes to Austin vs. Hart at Summerslam('98 I believe). It got real scary when Austin broke his neck, but it was still a good match.
