Are they just wasting congress' time? Could it backfire on them as demonrats keep voting for defeat?

Mr. Morden, would you refresh my memory? Perhaps there have been a few "symoblic" votes by republicans, but over and over like the dems are doing it?

No, not backfire at all. They are making it quite clear that GOP filibusters, blocks and the lack of Republican votes are what is causing the problems. Voters will be reminded of the obstructionism of the Republicans in the elections. Can you say Democratic landslide?.....I knew you could.

The selective memory on the right is fascinating. They forget all of the symbolic votes initiated by the republican controlled congress and only focus on the Dem's. Pretty hypocritical.

No. The American people are against our war. We will not surrender to the American people though. We will continue our President Bush's war and expand it. We will disregard the will of the people even if they attempt to vote us out. A vote for a democrat will be null and void!
