Actually i'm teenager (almost adult 17years old),but i get mistaken for a adult quite often.

I think it depends were are you mistaken for a teenager if you are mistaken in places were majority are teenagers i don't think it's odd. It could be cause you talk like, act like you're still a teenager.Being adult or looking like one ain't just about you're age. It's more about how you look to others, how you behave, how mature you are. This is what makes you adult in my opinion.

I think that nicknames with X & Z like "XXXmAnZ" will make you look like a child all the time, online.Using words like "Lol","Omg","LMFO" and so on won't make you look adult too. Also if you have punctuation, spelling mistakes in what you write will either make you look like a child, teen or stupid. Also what thoughts you have is very important & what interest you,if you're talking childish things, expresing you're non mature thoughts and interests, this won't make other people to see you as an adult. This i think is what makes other people to mistake you for a teenager online.

I have the opposite problem. I'm usually mistaken for a teenager in person and I'm in my 30's. Online is the only time I get to be an adult.

I should be getting a big honkin' tax refund this year. Maybe it's time to contemplate going out and buying some puberty.

I do.

I am a grown married man who is studying to be a priest in service of the Most Holy Immaculate Virgin.

I also work in a (very) boring international business making big bucks and studying law. ::yawn::

Why I spend my time here I'll never know...

On it happens all the time with me. I recently found my son on MySpace and carried on a conversation with him for thirty minutes without him knowing who I was. He had no idea until I e-mailed him the next day and told him. He was really embarressed because he really thought I was his age. HA.!!!By the way, I'm grown, married, three boys and one grand son.
