He wants to hear it back. How would you feel if you said I love you and then heard a dial tone? I would wonder if they really did love me....sorry

why do women get mad when the same thing happens? Isn't is natural to feel upset if you throw that out there and it's not returned?
Ever seen the Seinfeld episode where George tells his girlfriend he loves her and she doesn't acknowledge it at all? next scene he's slamming Pepto Bismol like it's a cold beer on a hot afternoon. It's frustrating damnit!!! I'm irritated just answering this question so tell him how you feel or don't feel.

I don't say such soppy things to females - & never have done so.

No, that's the thing, you should not unless you mean it.
Maybe they get mad because for them it's a weakness to be the one to talk about feelings when we don't.
It possibly makes them feel like a fool!

ugh my husband wont hang up on the phone unless i say i love you back....sometimes its jus habit even when hes commin upstairs from work and tells me to open the door...he says "i love you" even tho hes right outside the friggin door lol
