All my friends only comes to me when they need me and when they don't I don't even get the chance to say hi to them. God knows where they are now.

I feel more like a customer support technician rather than a friend to them... either that or a taxi driver

Not all friendships are supposed to be like that. These are not quality friendships. For a while you were okay with these friendships but now you are fed up right? So that means it is time for you to put these people aside and start looking for new friends who can meet your emotional needs for friendship not just for benefits. And this happened to me too. You should take it as a sign I guess that you have grown. Find people that can reciprocate your friendship. They have already chosen their friends and you should get out there and choose yours too. They are probably using other people too. So don't feel offended. Good luck.

Why ? Because that's how many friendships begin. I agree with Jenni that you should make sure that just as you help them they would be a real friend to you and help you out if you need them. Otherwise don't worry, you help someone out. That someone returns the favour when he is able to do it. And gradually you become friends.
I can confirm this is the way I make friends from classmates. They don't understand something from the course. I help them out. And next thing I know ... we become friends. It didn't happen to me only once....
So, relax... it's normal... that's how things happen. Just... just make sure they appreciate you for who you are.

P.S. Stop being pessimistic! I used to be like this and it's not good. Cheers!

Go to them when you need something then find out who your friends really are.
Friendship goes both ways, that how you know who your true friends are.
Good Luck.
