I really doubt he will, considering both Kanye and 50 have professed this to be a complete marketing scheme (and it worked). People bought into it, even I did. I was all for Kanye and I'm happy that he won.

I think 50 should have never opened his mouth in an interview and said that he would retire if Kanye beat him in units. Now he has to eat those words. Unfortunately he's alrealdy professing that Kanye cheated.

He won't stop, but one can only hope. He has already reorganized his European tour.

No -- it's ALL a croc of crappola, to promote themselves and sell dopey white kids more CDs that will be on lawn-sales & trash heaps in 4-5 years. Their record labels "know" how to promote controversy & get media-mentions. Here it is on your mind -- and you say nothing about either's CD (whether it's any good, on the music's own merits).

This is a made-for-media story (like rapper disliking each other 3-4 years ago). It helps both, because the media LOVES celebs, and black vs. black celeb stories. We can less about Jesse Jackson or don't read a thing about what Obama says about 100-topics -- but, IF JESSE criticizes Obama and goes "there" by saying he's acting 'white'... LOOK at the worldwide IMPACT?

As I pronounced on a prior question, i think of it is a shame because of the fact 50 Cent is taken into consideration one of my usual rappers and that i myself do no longer choose him to offer up making song. besides the undeniable fact that i'm additionally a large fan of Kanye and replaced into making plans on identifying to purchase the two albums, i think all and sundry will would desire to attend and spot. i think of maximum of this from 50 Cent stems from the leaking of a few of his new tracks that's confusing for any artist.

No. It was basically just advertisement. They both signed under the same record label. He's under contract anyway...he can't just retire. Search Answers, someone asked this question b4 and a great explanation was given, with interview quotes and all.

No he never said he will retire....he just said he will stop promoting his CDs. %0' logic is why promote your cd if kanye can sell more records. He will not stop making music...in fact he says his next album is almost 90 percent done. Expect it late spring early summer of 2008

No did you honestly believe him, it was just a publicity stunt that's it. Sorry but we get the privilege to hear 50's great rap songs for many years. It woul be nice if he did stick to his word and just retire.

If only we were so lucky! but I don't think he will cause he won't want people saying that he retired cause Kanye is better than him (and eventhough its true, no one needs to say it for fear that Kanye's head will get bigger than it already is! LOL)
