I looking for a latop and the one for 359 intel 2 core duo
& one for 369 intel core due

The intel 2 core duo is a roughly 30% increase in raw power, unnesccesary unless you are running very demanding applications. but if you find ones at similar prices it can hurt to go for the newer procesor

Oh my god there are some terrible answers here. Yes there is such a thing as a Core Duo, and both Core Duos and Core 2 Duos have 2 cores, a Core 2 Quad has 4 cores. The Core 2 Duos are newer and better, if you can get one for the same price as a Core Duo, get one.

there is no such thing as an intel core duo they are all called
intel core 2 duo
the number at the begining is usually a socket type :)
dont know who told you that information but tis rubish

Core Duo is 32bit only mobile processor (Yonah2 core). It came out before Core2 Duo.
Core2 Duo is latest technology 64bit (Conroe) processor. It is being used in laptops and desktops.

intel core duo has dual cores meaning 2 cores
and intel core 2 duo has 4 cores! core 2 means 2 and duo means 2 so 4 cores total!
