Lots of things make me feel inadequate like not being the right salve for a friend. Tools however do not. I had a contractor spank me on the butt right on the construction sight until I could swing a hammer like a man.

I thought about trying to be funny, but after reading Lt Dan's answer I felt being funny would disrespect it. I feel inadequate that I take for granted all the simplicity of my life compared to my grandfather's.

Nothing makes me feel inadequate. But I am left wanting more.
Y!A is in adequate. It gets it's before I am done. It is done before I get my second wind. It prematurely ends my session by limiting my skills.

I think Lt. Dan has it about right - when I compare myself to where I know my father was in life when he was my age, that does tend to make me feel inadequate - which is why I try not to do it too often.

I used to compare my life to my Dad's and think "when he was 24 he was a company commander in the U.S. Army in a war. He was responsible for a lot of soldiers and keeping them alive, fed and housed.
I thought being a motorcycle cop was pretty sad in comparison. I wonder what he thought of me at that age, he never was much on talking about feelings.
